This 1986 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Brougham is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in two-tone gray over gray fabric upholstery. Features include a vinyl-covered roof, a front stabilizer bar, front disc brakes, and 15″ wheels with wire-style covers as well as air conditioning, cruise control, and a Delco AM/FM radio. The car remained with its first owner in Illinois from new until it was acquired by the selling dealer in February 2023, and subsequent work included overhauling the ignition system as well as changing the air filter, radiator cap, tires, rear brake wheel cylinders, transmission filter and pan gasket, and various fluids. This Caprice Brougham shows 2,900 miles and is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, manufacturer’s literature, a February 2023 service invoice, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title.
The car is finished in two-tone Silver Metallic and Medium Gray Metallic with red pinstripes. Exterior details include a vinyl-covered roof, a fender-mounted antenna, chrome bumpers, concealed windshield wipers, and bright lower-body cladding and trim.
The 15″ steel wheels wear wire-style covers and were mounted with 225/70 Auburn Premium Radial thin-whitewall tires in February 2023. The car is equipped with power steering, front disc brakes, and a front stabilizer bar. The brake fluid was flushed in February 2023, at which time the brake light switch and the rear drum-brake wheel cylinders were replaced.
The “pillow-design” front and rear seats are upholstered in gray fabric with tufting buttons. Appointments include a front fold-down armrest, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Delco AM/FM radio as well as power windows, door locks, and mirrors. The right-front door lock actuator was replaced in preparation for the sale.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts an 85-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 2,900 miles, a few of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 5.0-liter V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. Work performed in February 2023 included replacing the distributor cap and rotor as well as changing the oil, air filter, radiator cap, spark plugs, and ignition wires.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The transmission fluid, filter, and pan gasket were changed in preparation for the sale.
Manufacturer’s literature will accompany the car along with a February 2023 service invoice.
The Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and lists history in Illinois and Arizona. No entries are visible between March 1986 and April 2023.
