December 27, 2018I made a mistake ordering this item. I thought it was a diecast 1:32 scale Zero previously assembled. I have not yet decided whether to try to build and paint it myself, put it up for auction, or donate it to the New England Air Museum (NEAM.org), where it will find a very good home. This is an exceptionally well detailed model. Everything of note (c/b panels, radio control faces, instruments, cockpit levers and switches, etc.) has been re-created. Mitsubishi and the Japanese Navy have every right to be proud of their mainstay fighter throughout the war. It was one of history's great airplanes. I doubt that my teen-aged skills lain dormant for over 60 years will be up to the task, but just maybe it's time to try.

September 27, 2024Great little kit from Tamiya, near perfect fit on most parts.Only annoyance are a couple of aileron balances controls which are so small they really should have been moulded on to the top wing.
Highly detailed and the fit is second to none.

April 9, 2020Highly detailed kit better suited to more experienced builders. The fit, level of accuracy and sheer number of detailed parts make this and any other Tamiya kit a joy to build. The price may be slightly higher than other kits on the market, but the small difference in cost is money well spent.
Excellent model, extreme detail, comprehensive docs/Manuel

August 2, 2017Definitely a collector piece, i have been a Model fan since child but this is the first time handling a model directly from Japan. The quality / detail is just amazing compares to what I had came into. Tamiya means quality, no doubt!
