The Tamiya 1/48 Mitsubishi G4M1 Model 11, produced by the renowned brand Tamiya, is a collectible scale model. Officially adopted in 1941, this long-range bomber succeeded the Type 96 bomber and served as the Imperial Japanese Navy's (IJN) primary land-based bomber during the Solomon Islands campaign in 1942. Most G4M1s in this campaign had their outer tail cones removed for improved tail-mounted 20mm cannon fire. This 1/48 scale plastic assembly kit meticulously reproduces the tubular form of the G4M1. The realistic tail cone, with the outer section removed, showcases intricate details. The cockpit boasts authentic instrument panel, gun sight, floor panel, and bulkhead. The canopy above the left side pilot seat, dorsal turret, and the aircraft's flaps can be depicted in either up or down position. Conveniently included are pre-painted canopy parts, in addition to clear ones.
