This model kit of the F-82F/G Twin Mustang from Modelsvit is a completely new mold! The F-82 Twin Mustang is a reciprocating twin-engine double-seat fighter developed in the United States for the U.S. Air Force. During World War II, the U.S. Army Air Forces sought an escort fighter for use on the Pacific front, but the fighters at the time were single-seat fighters, and long-range missions could take a long time. Therefore, the development of a double-seat fighter was requested so that the burden on the pilot would be lightened; to shorten the development period, a twin-boom fighter connecting two P-51s was requested. The P-82, which first flew in June 1945, was not deployed during the war, but the F-82F/G, which had a radar pod under the central wing, flew from a Japanese base to the Korean Peninsula during the Korean War, and was active as a night fighter. The kit includes a painting mask seal, photo-etched parts, open and closed canopies, a drop tank and HVAR rockets. The aileron, landing flap and elevator are separate parts; decals for four U.S. Air Force versions are included. [Size]: Approximately 26.9cm long, 32.5cm wingspan when completed [Includes]: Painting mask seals, photo-etched parts, decals for 4 versions
