Gino76ph, 02 Jun 2024Time is running out for me to avail of the May discounts fr... moreI think the biggest differences are the aluminum frame and newer chipset. The aluminum is nice but probably not really noticeable in a case. The newer chipset is an advantage, but that doesn’t mean the one in the A35 is bad. One can always chase the latest, but if that was the goal, then one would have to buy a much more expensive Galaxy S. The other difference is 6GB vs 8GB in the base model. But 6GB is not bad either. At the current price difference in my country for example (245€ vs 327€), I think the A35 makes more sense. I‘d say it provides maybe the best balance of modern features and good value. A25 is good as well, but the design is more outdated and it lacks water resistance, and I think the difference between Exynos 1280 and 1380 was larger (205€ for 6/128GB). A15 is a good value especially the 4G variant if one does not need 5G (132€ and 150€ for 4/128GB), though it’s far from a feature complete phone. A05s is a good phone in concept for a budget device, but at the current price, it makes no sense to get it compared to A15 4G (127€/134€ for 4/64 and 4/128GB). That’s all I have to say on Samsung Galaxy A right now. A05 is not available.

Peter, 05 Jun 2024Very helpful information for me to make the decision. Thank you.I forgot to add:
          A35:
          - Gorilla Glass Victus (new)
          - No 1080p/60 in the Ultrawide lens, the Ultrawide is limited to 1080p/30 & you have to stop the recording in order to switch to it. (The main lens can still shoot 1080p/60)
          - slightly slower charging, 20 minute slower (1:30h, not noticeable. and may not matter since A35 has longer battery life at 12h compared to 11h on the A54)

          A54:
          - Gorilla Glass 5 (old)
          - 1080p/60 support in the Ultrawide lens
          - 20m faster charging (1:10h)

I hope you find it helpful, take care 📱💙

Keeping that aside the A54 is far more stable than the A35/55 because it does not have any of the hardware issues of the new lineup such as overheating, fingerprint sensor problems, the green lines on PDF issue and a few software bugs too. If you buy the A54 now, you'll still get 3 OS updates which is a lot compared to any other comparable mid-ranger.

And being an older phone updates will be lesser than then the newer one.
I feel that the A35 and the A55 has been out for a while now and the OS should be well optimised by now don't you think?
And besides Samsung is running a discount for their A lineup but i believe it's only until midnight tonight.

Gino76ph, 02 Jun 2024Time is running out for me to avail of the May discounts fr... moreThe A55 is definitely more overpriced compared to competitors in it's price segment. Whereas A35 is priced more competitively & is almost 95% the same phone as A54.

If you can find an A54 in stock before it runs out for the same price as an A35, then you should get that instead. It has some of the features of the A55 alongside the same features as the A35.

Prolog, 04 Jun 2024I'm confused between A35 and A54? Need help! Here, I laid out all the differences between Galaxy A54 & A35... (Specs that I didn't mention are the same)

                    A35:
                    - Larger
                    - Thinner bezels
                    - Flat sides
                    - Black plastic camera rims
                    - Less offensive gray punch hole (noticeable in dark mode)
                    - No HDR in third party apps, HDR only works on Youtube
                    - Slightly longer battery life
                    - Slightly better thermals
                    - Slightly better performance
                    - Worse 8MP Ultra wide camera
                    - No 1080/60p in the selfie camera
                    - Less premium Rumble vibration motor
                    - Maybe supports eSIM (Region Dependent)
                    - White/Black colors are blueish & less premium
                    - 1 extra Year of updates
                    - Quarterly OneUI updates
                    - Gray screen matrices when looking from an angle
                    - High PWM flicker which can cause headaches only on low brightness
                    - Less saturated screen colors (more color accurate)
                    - You can find the "Awesome Lilac" pink color option easily in stores.

                    A54:
                    - Smaller
                    - Thicker bezels
                    - Rounded sides
                    - Shiny camera rims
                    - More offensive gray punch hole that has a silver ring around it (noticeable in dark mode)
                    - HDR in all apps
                    - Slightly worse battery life
                    - Slightly worse thermals
                    - Slightly worse performance
                    - Better 12MP Ultrawide
                    - 1080p/60 supported on selfie camera
                    - More premium Haptic Feedback
                    - Maybe doesn't support eSIM (region dependent)
                    - White/Black colors are not blueish
                    - 1 less years of updates
                    - Monthly OneUI updates
                    - Slightly less Gray screen matrices when looking from an angle, but nowhere as black as the flagships
                    - Less PWM Flicker
                    - More saturated screen colors (Less color accurate)
                    - You can't find the "Awesome Purple" color option in any store, it's out of stock.

They're basically the same phone, don't overthink it. You can't go wrong with either. (I would personally go with A35 because I increase the fonts on my phone & therefore prefer the bigger screen, but people who shoot selfie videos & post them to social media should go with A54)

Boris Blagojevic, 12 May 2024Agree.It might be so but I have a five year old Samsung A10 and never bothered about 20-85% rule and the battery is just fine. Last longer than my xiaomi redmi note 10 even.

Battery drain quickly and also some heating issue.

Time is running out for me to avail of the May discounts from Samsung.
Apart from the lack of HDR10 support is the Galaxy A55 really worth the money, difference and better specs than the A35?
For an everyday device is the A35 really worth the savings? (similar questions were asked from last year)

This will be Samsung's bestseller in 2024! (right after A15...)
It's even more probable now that A55 is NOT coming to the US, meaning A35 sales will extraordinarily increase. 📈 (A54, A34, A14 & S23 Ultra were 2023's bestsellers)

Interesting that it's already down to 240 Euros in Germany, the A34 was still 270+ on November last year.
