The 4G GSM door entry systems are the latest development from Videx, employing mobile phone technology to operate automatic gates, doors and remote site installations. The 4G GSM modules are compatible with 2G, 3G and 4G networks and are designed for global use. The various 4G GSM modules are totally self-contained and only require an external power supply, 4G compatible antenna and a 4G nano size SIM card (not supplied by Videx).

Each of the 4G GSM modules retain all the features from the previous 4000 series GSM PRO and vandal resistant GSMVRK series.

Programming the GSM modules can be carried out using standard SMS text messages, or via either of the GSM mobile Apps (the SMS Wizard App for users and SMS Wizard PRO App for installers and engineers) and/or the GSMSK PC software including the new remote “over the air” feature (programming is still carried out using the PC software without the need to actually connect the GSM module directly to a PC via the micro-USB or RS485 connection). The GSM mobile Apps are available to download for FREE from Google Play (for android devices) or from the App. Store (for iOS devices).

Like previous versions the 4G GSM modules can store events (the number of events is dependent on the GSM model). These events can be downloaded from the module via the micro-USB connection when using the GSMSK PC software or if required the events can be viewed and monitored remotely in real-time using Videx’s web browser based events application. These events can be viewed on any device such as a tablet, smartphone or laptop and PC. Details on how to register an online profile can be found on the Videx events website here.
