Inky Ideas with Evy - Handmade Advent Calendar

Christmas is my favorite time of year but, as for many of you, it is also the most hectic time of the year. Between dinners, work, decorations and the house I often end up being late with gifts and above all I do not give things made by me. Quite strange for a creative!

This year I decided to give my friends things made by me and so the first project was born: an advent calendar! I used the “Christmas Countdown Book” by Lori Whitlock (available in the Silhouette Design Store) for the structure and the fantastic All Is Calm collection. My friend Francesca loves the classic colors of Christmas and this palette is perfect for her.

I cut the 24 boxes and lids mixing the patterned papers of the collection with single-color papers and then I decorated everything with stickers but printed and cut on card stock in order to create diecuts and be able to glue them only in one point and thicken with double-sided adhesive. Being a fan of black and white could not miss a touch "dark". In fact, I used the numbers from October Mood to number the boxes.

Now I'm going to fill the boxes with sweets, herbal teas and small messages and I'm ready for the next challenge: create a calendar for me too!

May the most beautiful and magical time of the year begin!

Xoxo,Evy
