Identification ⁴

Best descriptor is the dorsal line runing throughout the whole length of the toads back. However it can be less visible in some individuals so I'll put more descriptors. The next would be the parotids, which are much smaller than in other Bufonids found in Czechia. The eye has a horizontal slit with greenish colour frequently subsidised with dark lines acros the iris.

Ecology & Behaviour ⁴

Dryer land with periodical pools of water exposed environment with light soil available for burrowing. Most comonly in quarries and abandoned mines without much vegetation. It prefers pools with sand or similar substrate.

Identifikace ⁴

Ropucha krátkonohá má jednoznačnou čáru, která se táhne po celé délce těla a opisuje umístění páteře. Má horizontání zornici jako ostatní naše ropuchy.
