The device is intuitive to use straight out of the box.. Maximized surface collection area Lightweight at 1.2 grams (2.55 lbs) No external power supplies or cables While a manual is provided, the intuitive interface doesn't take more than a few minutes to get acquainted with. The lack of external wiring and bulky power supplies makes it extremely easy to move from hive to hive. 1 device to be used consecutively on 2 to 4 hives per day quite effectively. LED indications cover virtually any possible situation. A microprocessor, developed specifically for this bee venom collector, allows the device to work 5 to 7 hours a day for 3 to 5 months, before a battery replacement is required. The device is powered by 2 batteries type AA (not included). No bulky external power supplies, no external cabling. The device is made of very high quality MDF, so that it is stable enough to withstand years of use.. It's lacquered to ensure it can withstand weather conditions. Aside from the rare battery replacement and minor attention on the front wires, little else maintenance is needed.

As a beekeeper and apitherapist, I depend on this device to collect venom efficiently without harming my bees. This machine easy to use and to clean, and because the humidity in Michigan can spike without seeming damp, the automatic shut-off feature is critical to me. In addition to the Bee Whisperer being exceptional, so is the customer service. Anytime I've had a question, the engineer who builds the device responds within hours. My only disappointment was that I first purchased one Bee Whisperer, and then a second, when I should have bought the pack of 3 to start. If you're interested in collecting honey bee venom, you'll want to save your money and buy the bulk deal!
