1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible

This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible was acquired by the seller in 2019 and is said to have subsequently undergone a body-off refurbishment that included a repaint in two-tone red and white over matching replacement upholstery. Power is provided by a 265ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission, and additional equipment includes a power-retractable soft top, power-assisted brakes, chrome-finished exterior trim, whitewall tires, dual bench seats, and a push-button AM radio. This Bel Air convertible is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in two-tone red and white under current ownership, and it is equipped with a white soft top. Additional exterior details include chrome-finished bumpers and trim, front vent windows, and dual exhaust outlets with polished finishers. Steel 15″ wheels wear polished covers and Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power-assisted drum brakes at all four corners.

The cabin features dual bench seats trimmed in replacement white vinyl with red cloth inserts, matching door panels, red carpets, and metal surfaces finished in the color of the body. Equipment includes a split-folding front seat backrest, a push-button AM radio, and chrome-finished dashboard trim.

The three-spoke steering wheel features a horn ring and frames a 110-mph speedometer with integrated gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 13 miles, which is said to reflect the distance traveled since the completion of the refurbishment. True mileage is unknown.

The 265ci “Power Pack” V8 is finished in red and equipped with a factory-optioned Rochester four-barrel carburetor that was reportedly overhauled under current ownership.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed automatic transmission.
