Description

The maximum growth of the fish is 5.4 cm (Gaspar et al., 2012). They are laterally compressed species with a forked caudal fin. The back is dark green to olive. The belly is in lighter blue. Fins are colorless. (U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, 2014) Cochu's blue tetra lives in tropical freshwater benthopelagic areas and distributed in South America, Amazon River basin.
